Being Specific

Do you realize if you started (truly started) to work with the last 4 thoughts of the week your life has probably taken a dramatic shift in the direction of your dreams. It doesn’t take that much to change the course of your life but it does take something!

Thought of the Week:
If you are not specific on who you want to BE, don’t be surprised if you come to find out you don’t know who YOU are!

Action Step:
Do you have a journal? You should start one. Check out this video to help get you started.

There are two key words that get misrepresented in discussions about success and self. Before you can do anything you must first BE. BEING is a state of mind that influences the way you act. BEING is the deep roots within you. BEING is that sixth sense, the values (good and bad) that are woven into the very fabric that is you. Change BEING and the outside world automatically changes.

This is the challenge and why so many people don’t know who they are and where they are going. They think, or want to believe, the change is outside them and so that is where they go to work. You know many of these people…they say things like: if I could just get a break; if my boss would just let me; if the government would just give me; if I didn’t have to work so much I would; If my wife/husband would just; if my parents weren’t so; if the economy was better my business would; etc. etc.

If this is you, even some of the time, I suggest you stop it because the more you BE like this the more it becomes you and guess where you are then. Start becoming aware of who you are and write down who you want to BE.

Be Afraid of…

Imagine if you were afraid or scared of what you might miss today or what you might not become instead of being scared of what may happen or what people may think of what you may do? Would that just change the way you see the world? Would that make a major difference in your life.

Be scared of what you might miss out on because you didn’t follow your heart. Be scared or afraid of what or who you currently are so you can move into who you really might be. Jim Rohn always says “don’t miss out on life”. I think we have become a society that has channels their fears in the wrong directions. We are afraid to become who we truly are. We should be afraid of what we already are!

What Do You Focus On

YOU WILL GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU FOCUS UPON

This is Day 11 in the Mind Over Money Program. It is a very interesting item. The studies show that we process about 11 million bps (bits per second) of information unconsciously and only are aware (consciously) of about 134 bps. Imagine if you could tap the rest of those resources? Well, you can using NLP, Hypnosis and Time Line Therapy.

This is why we say in NLP “The Map is NOT the Territory” or “Accept the Person and Change the Behavior” or “People are doing the best they can with the information they have (or are aware of)” or “Perception is Projection”. It is because of this that we get what [Read more...]

Mysteries of Rapport

Rapport. That magic feeling of trust and friendship when we see that we are on the same “wave length” with another person. The times when you meet someone, instantly like them, and say to yourself, “We’re a lot alike”. We have all felt this, but do you know how to actually create it?

The co-developers in the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) began studying people who had the ability to [Read more...]

A good life is a lot like rock climbing

First, there are those who decide they are not going to climb and never get to experience anything higher than where they are at. Then there are those who want to climb but are afraid of the height and let the fear turn them around. Then there are [Read more...]

Corporate Communication using NLP

It is funny when I talk to companies about their communication models. They give me that doggie look as their heads tilt to one side…

Have you ever had a boss or co-worker where everything seemed to just go smoothly? You were productive. You understood everything you needed to do. If you had a question, you could ask and, more importantly, it would get answered. Ever worked in a place like that?

How about working in a place where no one seems to know how to [Read more...]

The Struggle

I just wrapped up one of our Business Life Strategies Workshop and I have to tell you that it was awesome. It prompted me to write this little piece about “The Struggle”.

So many people are struggling. Struggling with their career, their spouse, their business, their health and their finances and I get it. I have had my share of struggles over the years with drug addiction, being in trouble with the law, challenges in my career and holding onto to certain business with just the tips of my fingers…boy do I get it.

Fortunately, it was easy [Read more...]

Are you working in your business or on it?

Owning your own business can be a very freeing experience, if you take the right steps (we will get them in a minute). I am sure you have heard of the stories of people going into business for themselves only to work longer hours, make less money and seem increasingly unhappy. Their personal identities become defined as their business – whether successful or not.

Then their are those people who seem to have the magic touch. They go into business for themselves and puff they have all the clients, make all the sales, generate all the products and everything touch turns to gold. And those of us who struggle sit there scratching our heads in wonder.

Well, the difference between [Read more...]

Time Management: Where Does It Go?

Many times in my life I have said those famous restricting words: “No, I can’t, I have no time”. Until one day a mentor of mind challenged me on it and showed little exercise that change my whole world around time management.

You see I was always taught to schedule out my day. Nail down all your appointments to the minute. I spent more time on trying to manage my daily time that I had no [Read more...]
