Who Do You Follow?

We all follow somebody or something that shapes who we are. You may say that you are a loner and don’t interact with people. That doesn’t matter. If you read, listen to music, listen to talk radio, watch the news, veg out in front of the TV or what ever (or whomever) you are predominantly doing/following  on a daily basis is who you are becoming.

You can test this…see what I mean in the video below!

  1. Paul, you are so on with this. Yea!!! Who are you following in everything you do. Paul and I believe this 110% if not more ;D. We don’t even watch the news as for us it is all negative. We hope to change things and spread good news. We read books like, Benjamin Franklin Autobiography, Disciplines of Doership by Joe Schroeder, Peaks and Valleys and on and on. We really try and associate with like minded people and add to that. There is so much good in the world even if the majority of what you hear or see on TV or the news/papers etc is only spreading the bad news. Our goal is to make the good news contagious and turn it around one person at a time. Who are you following-#1 thing you need to change to change your life. Love it. Thank you ;D

Very good Advice!,,,About 5 years ago I cut out 90% of TV & other media dribble…It is so true we become what we feed upon,,,we become like those we Listen to or follow.

I can relate though to your point of not just watching–Listening–reading without taking ACTION,,,I have been guilty of this at times…I think Jesus said it this way,,”They Have Eyes & they see not, they have ears & they hear not”…we do not really SEE/HEAR something till we allow it to Transform our lives & we do this by ACTION.

I think also you have ‘put the finger’ on me about something,,,,At work(The J-O-B) I can listen to the Radio,,,many days I listen to way too much ‘Sports Talk’…Don’t get me wrong I enjoy Sports, yet I do not think it necessary to spend hours listening to what everyone has to say about the next big game, who got traded, who will win the Cy Young award,,,etc,,,etc…:-)

So Today I make a Commitment to Take ACTION & cut my ‘Sports Listening’ by 1/2:-)

    Thanks Paul!

  3. Great post Paul

I never thought about it like this before but yes, this is very true. LOL! now I’m going to be taking inventory for days. You really made me think about this.

The key for individuals is to follow positive people.

Thanks for sharing such an interesting topic.

  4. I agree with you 100% Paul.

As The Meat Man says ” What you stare at you become, What you stare at you become!!

So what we associate with and follow we shall become.

You hit the nail on the head. This is definitely a question one should ask themselves!!

This subject is so important Paul. People don’t realize that associating with people actually attracts the situations, and vibrations that are beneficial or damaging to your life and career. It’s a good practice to reassess your relationships every so often and see whether they benefit or hurt you.

  6. You make a good point, you’re following books or people but are you putting those things to use. It’s always good to clean house every now and then. Look at the people around you are see if they are adding to your life or taking your energy.

    Hey Paul,

    Great message my friend.
When I look for people to follow… I look at who they are following and have followed in the past. This helps me to understand where they are going and how it fits with my direction and vision too.

Thanks for sharing with us all.

    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,

      Edward,

Thanks my friend. I like your comment about looking past the person to see who they follow before you make any decisions. Great advice.
